Nuclear Medicine Training – External Orders

Contents

IsoStock can track orders of radioactive products before they arrive on-site.

    • Open the menu and then select the Radiopharmacy button in the navigation bar, if not already highlighted.
    • Within the menu, select the External Orders menu option. This opens the External Orders screen.

Orders are usually placed against Radiopharmacy Requests, e.g. a bought-in product like a DatSCAN to meet the requirement. Occasionally, the order could be a kit that is used to manufacture the required product.

To order against a request –

    • Select the request within the External Orders screen. This opens the information panel for the request.
    • Select Order Item, located at the bottom of the panel.
    • Enter the information as required.

Most of the information will be pre-filled from the request. You may need to select the exact product from the Catalogue Code dropdown list and/or Activity/Quantity information.
If you know the Reference Date, these can also be entered. This, along with the Date Expected, allows IsoStock to calculate the activity that will be delivered and check against EA Permits.

Items that are ordered will be given a unique reference code. This is the reference that will be allocated when the product arrives.

    Ordering One-Off Items

One-off items can be ordered that aren’t linked to a previously created radiopharmacy request. This may be used to cover items such as generators.

    • On the External Orders screen, select Create Order, located at the top of the screen. This opens the Add Request form panel.
    • Enter the details as required.
    • Select Submit, located at the bottom of the panel.
