Sealed Sources

    The Sealed Sources Page displays a list of the sealed sources

    This screen can be navigated to by –

    • Selecting the Sealed Sources sources tab in the menu.
    • Selecting Sealed Sources.

    Filters

    The data can be filtered via several dropdowns at the top of the page.

    The first dropdown is for general filtering.

    On-sitesources currently on site
    On-site- licensesources on site under a selected permit licence type
    On-site, including wastesources on-site including those marked as waste
    No longer on sitesources no-longer on-site / disposed / transferred
    Waste items, still on sitesources marked as waste items
    Disposed ofall sources disposed of
    Transferred off-siteall sources transferred (not as waste)
    With overdue testslists sources with overdue test
    Leak tests within 1 monthlists sources that need leak testing within 1 month
    Calibration within 1 monthlists sources that need calibration testing within 1 month
    Location check within 1 weeklists sources that need location test within 1 week
    Allall

    The second dropdown allows the data to be filtered by several different options. The default will filter By me, the current user.

    By meshow sources owned by current user
    By my departmentshow sources owned by the current user’s departments
    By usershow sources owned by selected user
    By departmentshow sources owned by selected department
    Serial/model/namesearch by serial/model/name
    In locationshow sources stored in the selected location
    Containing radionuclideshow sources containing selected radionuclide
    Allall

    There are two additional buttons in the header bar: Add Sealed Source, and Export.

    Add a Sealed Source

    Opens the Add Sealed Source form panel. The panel allows you to create a sealed source.

    Export

    Exports the current table and data as a .xlsx file.

    Fields

    Referencethe unique code for the source
    Supplierthe name of source supplier
    Manufacturerthe name of source manufacturer
    Serial Numberthe serial number of source
    Model Numberthe model number of source
    Namethe recognisable name given to source
    Nuclidethe radionuclide within the source
    Reference Datethe reference date/time of the activity
    Current Activitythe current decay corrected activity
    Original Activitythe reference activity
    Quantitythe quantity/weight of the source if applicable
    Locationthe current location of the source
    Date Receivedthe date/time source was received
    Departmentthe department which owns the source
    Ownerthe owner of the source
    External Ownerfree text to record external owner
    Source Is Private / Extended Securitywhether the source is only visible to users who have the security option ticked
    Housed In Equipment/Instrumentwhether the source is embedded in other equipment
    Manufacturer (Equipment)the name of the equipment manufacturer
    Model Number (Equipment)the model number of the equipment
    Serial Number (Equipment)the serial number of the equipment
    Equipment Namethe recognisable name given to equipment
    Registration Informationfree text registration notes
    Leak Test Duethe date the next leak test is due
    Calibration Check Duethe date the next calibration test is due
    Location Check Duethe date the next location check is due
    Expiry Datethe date when the source is no longer useable
    Disposal Datethe date the source was disposed of
    Disposed Bythe user which disposed the source
    Disposal Typethe type of disposal
    Transfer/Disposal Tothe site/contractor source was disposed/transferred to
    Order Numbercan be used to add other numbers such as POs from purchasing systems
    Notesany other free text notes relevant to the source

    Table

    The table displays data in accordance to the filters.

    Sealed source status is indicated by colour according to the legend. The statuses are defined below.

    On-Sitesource is on-site
    Exemptsource is exempt from license
    Off-Site/Wastesource is off-site or has been disposed
    Checks/Tests Overduesource has overdue checks or tests

    Clicking on an item on the table opens up a panel displaying further details about the item.

    Panel

    At the bottom of the panel are a number of buttons.

    View

    Opens up the Single Sealed Source [link] page for the selected item.

    Edit

    Allows the user to edit the details of the selected sealed source.

    This opens the Edit Sealed Source form panel. It is identical in operation to the Create Sealed Source panel.

    Copy to Clipboard

    The details of an individual compound can be copied to the clipboard.

    Prints a label for the selected sealed source. Label formats can be configured within setp.

    Delete

    Allows the user to delete the selected sealed source.

    This opens up the Delete Sealed Source audit panel.
