Request a Compound is Made Available

    To request a compound is made available for use:

    • Open the Menu, then select the Requests menu.
    • Within the sub-menu, select Requests. This opens the Requests screen.
    • Select Add Request. This opens the Add Request panel.
    • Enter the details of the requested compound –
      • Select the Department which is requesting the compound. This will default to the department of the current user.
      • Select the user who the compound is Requested By. This will default to the current user.
      • Enter the Date Requested. This will default to the current date and time.
      • Enter the Date Required.
      • Optionally, enter a Project – this may be a project code, reference code or study number.
      • Select a Protocol/Licence. If protocols are in use on-site, you must select the protocol under which the compound will be used.
      • Optionally, enter a Catalogue Code. Upon selection, default data for the matching compound will fill the relevant fields.
      • Enter the name of the Compound.
      • Select the Supplier, or enter their name if they are not listed in the dropdown
      • Optionally, enter the Cost of the compound.
      • Select the Radionuclide contained within the compound.
      • Optionally, enter the activity Reference Date of the compound, if it is known. It is unlikely to be known at this stage.
      • Enter two of the following –
        • Activity required and the relevant units.
        • Quantity required and the relevant units.
        • Concentration required and the relevant units.
      • The third figure is calculated from the two entries. You can select which figure will be calculated by clicking on the Calculate button beside it.
      • Optionally, enter the Specific Activity required and the units.
      • Optionally, enter an Order Reference.
      • Optionally, enter any additional Notes.
    • Select Submit. This will check that all the entered data is valid and then check against any licences that are in place. If all is acceptable, the request will be recorded, ready for authorisation, ordering and receiving.
